Chauncey Olcott and George Graff, Jr.

Today there is a whole new meaning to their song ....

When Irish Eyes Are Smiling, sure 'tis like a morn in spring.
In the lilt of Irish laughter, you can hear the angels sing.
When Irish hearts are happy, all the world seems bright and gay,
And When Irish Eyes Are Smiling, sure, they steal your heart away.

I don't know why .. but this song popped into my head the moment
I heard the news ...
I thought how true it is .. the world is bright and gay ...

But sometime it is not so bright for others ....

There's nothing wrong with being bright and gay, is there? Not that I am either.

I agree Meg ... it will take time .. but time is there ...
Like other issues in the past .. the narrow minded people
either die or open up their mind a wee bit ...

If I am right .. here in Canada .. the first gay couple
that got married .. were also the first ones to get a divorce ...
I had search for it on google .. but it seems that I am wrong ...
I remember thinking (I was able to think back then ) .. as a couple they fought so hard for what
they believed in .. they probably neglected their relationship ...
To me that was a shame

I would guess there will be as many gay divorces as we see heterosexual ones. Sadly the right to marry doesn't and can't guarantee a happy relationship.

But that people can celebrate their love is something we should all applaud and celebrate.

I don't ever celebrate my love. I just love, whatever that is, or I don't.
Me and George, sorry George and I used to be an item. Not anymore, that's how love goes sometimes. One of my friends even wrote a song about it.
Good memories, but life goes on.
