Faith

I am not a follower of any faith nor religion but for some it must bring such comfort. I heard yesterday that a lady I knew from my last village `went to sleep forever` over the weekend.

She had cancer but always put on a cheerful face knowing in her heart that when this life ends a new one awaited her in heaven.

I do think it must be a wonderful thing to have a strong faith. It must bring a huge element of comfort with it. I'm glad it helped your friend.

Sorry you have lost a friend Stephan each one is a reminder of our mortality as we get older...

I would be horrified at the thought of another life awaiting me I have had enough trouble coping with this one

Odd how things happen. I cannot say I knew Allen and Wendy before Jen passed away. Then I saw this appeal from them for Teddy Bears to sell for charity. Well Animalia had some awaiting new homes so there I was with a wheelbarrow walking up the road.............

Faith certainly does help in many situations, god bless your friend and hope she has found her peace.


Meg you would like my Faith we believe the peace of death brings the heaven you wish for so you would have endless peaceful sleep, mine would be full of dogs and family who have passed before me.

I definitely believe there is a higher ‘Being’ than us humans who controls the whole works, call that a God if you like, no time for any organised religion. I do believe in the power of personal prayer though, it has done great things for me and my family over the years, it has more than proved itself as far as I’m concerned.

I have no faith but I can understand and even be a little envious of those who do. The comfort and peace it brings is worth more than 10 doctors.

I hope your friend has found the promise she placed her faith in..
