Holiday pictures ?

At work tonight someone was showing me her holiday snaps, not one picture of where she had been all pictures of her or her and her boyfriend. Selfies ! is this the way we are heading no pictures of where we have been or people we have met just endless pouting selfies ?

As you probably realise I take lots of snaps when on holiday and among, say, 100 snaps you might find 1 of me and 2 of Sheila, all the rest will be scenery.

I would ask someone to take one of us both, or maybe take a couple of us selfies but that's all.

Selfies seems to be a real craze, the shops seem to be full of those gadgets to stick your phone or camera on to take pictures of yourself. Each to their own I guess but not something I want to do.

I couldn't be bothered with having to sit and go through someone's holiday snaps, pretending to be interested! :O

I think it may be a generation thing, don't know how old the selfie taker is.
At our age we are hopefully less preoccupied with ourselves and more interested in what's going on around us.

For me a holiday is all about where Ive been and seen.. Sometimes I have to remind myself that if Im not in a photo or two people might think Ive just cut pictures from a holiday mag!

Me too, Alan. I love to have pictures of where I have been or what was happening. They are so lovely to look back on - even though I am not half so good a photographer as you.
