Looking for a new Motorhome.

Sick & tired of politicians, bankers, refugees, benefits etc etc.. so we've decided to run away and look for a new motorhome.

I cringe a bit about the cost, but the boss tells me that we've worked hard, saved hard, can aford it and we're going to do it

How can I argue with such an eloquently put case? We've seen a few on the internet, so we're off for a look. May not come to anything this time, but it will be good to look at what's on the market.

Wish her indoors would go look at them as well, but when her purse was last opened Egyptian moths flew out. Not saying she is tight with money but Fort Knox has nothing on her.

A little dormabile type one would suit me , enough for 2 persons to sleep in with a small cooker/hob type thing- sink -baby fridge. Something we could just say lets go somewhere for a weekend or even a week away from it all.

Had a tent once, too cold. had a caravan 5 birth- too much hassle hooking up and towing so a small camper van would be great.

You can't take money with you when the time comes, so go out and get something you can enjoy, I envy you

Brilliant .. Would love to do the same..
At a camper show I came to the conclusion that I like the old types better than the new ones with all the gadets and the bed thats above the storage so it feels like a coffin..
The prices are scary though ..

Don't you have one already though, GW? Or is it because it's grumbling that you thought you'd like to replace it?

I'd love a campervan, I really would. Maybe one day if I get a big cheque from someone...

Sounds a good plan George you can be off at the drop of a hat.

We have a camper show here each year at the Three Counties showground and I have seen some magnificent specimens around the town when the show is on.

I could neither afford or drive one but good luck in your search...

Re: Looking for a new Motorhome.

I'm currently on my 5th. van which I've owned from new, but it's getting a bit long in the tooth. Dianne doesn't feel too happy driving it because of its size, so it seems like a good time to get a more compact one.

This is the sort of thing :-

Re: Looking for a new Motorhome.

We've just bought a 1997 Ford Transit Van and hubby's doing it up, so we can put the motorbike in and the dog and all go to the Isle of Man for the Manx Grand Prix every year, were a little tired now of camping in tents and roughing it, so were taking a chance

I would really like to live in a Campervan permanently though on a site that can be rented, and just live day to day without the worries
