The detectives..

Did anyone watch this last night?
About the dectectives investigating sex offences.. Nothing too visually disturbing but actual interviews as they happened with a man who had attacked a 13 yr old school girl and a victim of the DJ friend of Jimmy Saville.

I thought what one of the officers said was important .. She had an idea of rapist in her head when she joined and shes since realised that the image of a rapist as a monster isnt right because it could be anyone.


The lad who raped the schoolgirl said 'Im not a monster' and to be honest he didnt look like a monster as he stood there crying. But he was a monster. He lied and tried to blame other people for what he did he damaged a child forever he is a monster.

No didn't see it I don't thinks a programme I would want to see, I already know these people are not monsters and really I am not sure what such programmes are trying to show.

Its showing the detectives involved in the sex crimes team , how they go about their work and what they do to build a case.

Yes but do we really need that information ? I do sometimes think we are being told far too much these days.

What did make me chuckle a bit in the first episode was when the detectives spoke to the man who spotted the rapist out of his window. He said something like "you know that lad in BGT? The really good one who did such-and-such? He had a really big forehead. Well, this man had the same one." I know it was a serious case, but that's not the sort of description you hear on Frost is it?

I think that just goes to show how people remember things and how he marked the passing of time by the fact that it took him that long to smoke a cigarette..
