£13000 net

Yippee. I've just found out that I'm in the top 40% of the world's richest people. I earn £13000 a year net.https://www.givingwhatwecan.org/get-.../how-rich-am-i

I'm actually privileged to know this.

Ooo I seem to be moving in exalted circles at the moment but I will have to work hard to keep it going or to improve upon it. Not gonna say how much I earn at this moment in time but I beat 40% by quite a margin lol.

I'm also pleased to say that I'm beating the 40 % and when my pension comes in, according to that site, I'll be into single figures. Even my children are in the low single figure bracket.
I find that all very hard to believe. Everyone I know seems to be better off than me.

My £13000 pays my rent, council tax, utility bills, food, car, holidays. I'm exceptionally lucky. I just didn't realise I was in that top 40%. I knew I was comfortable, but this has made me feel even better.

Using that link I get:-

"You are in the richest 9.8% of the world's population.

Your income is more than 12.2 times the global average
".

How come you get to be in the top 40% of the world's richest people @ £13000 pa? stevmk2

Re: £13000 net

I love they request 10% of our wages when the last few months we have been borrowing to keep heads above water because the rent and service charge went up dramatically last year. How about a real test and show how much we pay for housing compared to other countries ?
