Re: Madbid

I've seen the ads, must say looks too good to be true, but, I could be wrong. There's a few folk on local selling pages that look for wrongly priced or low priced things on the big selling sites and people have, apparently got bargains that way.

Re: Madbid

A bit Double Dutch to me, can't let go of the principle, if something seems to good to be true, it usually is, but, maybe Madbid is unusual, so, as yet, no, never used it.

Re: Madbid

Though I like a bargain I am a bit sceptical of using sites like this. I hear so many bad stories about eBay and sellers/buyers being fleeced out of money that I'm reluctant to venture into this kind of shopping.

I could be wrong, and that it's a good site, but...would be interested to hear of successful stories.

Re: Madbid

Just out of interest I looked at the site, then I read some reviews. Apparently it's all negative, declaring it to be a scam. Though you're given some 'credit' you have to deposit your own money and pay 50p per bid. Reviewers say someone in the company bids against you!

It's a form of gambling, so best avoided.

If you really want to join the site, and give it a go, Google madbid reviews, and go into it with your eyes wide open.

Re: Madbid

Yes the catch is, bidders pay per bid, and if enough people put their money in then the company has recouped the cost of the item. Simple.

It's like when you see a fabulous car in a shopping mall and you're invited to pay a small sum of money to try and win it. Same thing.
