Bundles.

Anyone notice how the new buzz word with service providers and some others now is 'Bundle'. It used to be 'Package'
TV cable companies have lots of different bundles, my home insurance company sent me a leaflet today advertising their new range of insurance for the house bundles. All sorts of different Holiday bundles are available this year, and the wife was telling me a large fitted kitchen company is offering several bundles of kitchens, how many kitchens in a bundle one asks? Our window cleaning fella will be around shortly I wonder if he has and bundles to offer? I always associated bundles with sticks and joy, or to be "Bundled into a corner out of sight" How long before we have bundles of jobs I wonder, we already got bundles of useless politicians here. Looks like we're all in for a bundle of fun this year.

Re: Bundles.

My guess is that they think that 'bundles' sounds as though you are getting more than 'package'…
I've just been reminded of a comment many years ago made by someone about her child. she got her metaphors a bit mixed up between 'ray of sunshine' and 'bundle of joy' and referred to her child as 'my little bundle of sunshine'. I liked that

Re: Bundles.

When I hear bundles I always instantly think fat quarters (bits of material in varying sizes ready for patch working)

Re: Bundles.

It's like the term "rolling out". Instead of "the changes start soon", it's the rolling out thingy. We're not making pastry!

Re: Bundles.

I heard on an advert yesterday that, in America they call a spot on someone's face a " break out ".

The word " Bundle " is used a lot on ebay, when you sell a few things together ie Clothes for instance..
