The "Clique"

This seems to be a mysterious phenomenon, but, if it exists, could you have stumbled into it inadvertently, and unwittingly be a paid up member?

Yeh but, no one knows if it exists, so joining could be involuntary.

Re: The "Clique"

I have made my opinion on 'cliques' clear in previous posts.
Taking the definition of a clique as...
'' A small close-knit group of people who do not readily allow others to join them:''

..they are not something with which I would wish to be associated because they denote an unfriendly group of people.
Also I would not wish to be close knit with any group, I am my own person.

Paul I think on forums 'cliques' can exist in the minds of people who can't cope with more than one person having an opposing view to themselves so they invent a 'clique' to cover their own insecurities.

Re: The "Clique"

It's odd people accuse others of being in cliques and claim they always agree with each other but seem to completely ignore or miss the many other times the members of this mysterious clique don't agree with each other. From what I see the clique is often just people who like and respect each other enough to agree to differ and not fall out or get personal about not agreeing.

It's also noticeable the people doing the accusing are actually closer to being a real clique than those they accuse.

There is one thing Paul I don't think anyone could ever suggest you belong to a 'clique'

Re: The "Clique"

Can Cliques benefit from an anti Cliquer, hidden in their midst, if there is any such thing.

Do you mean a sort of 'clique saboteur' in a black balaclava Paul

As I think they exist in the mind and you are good at getting into the minds of people Paul they may benefit from your presence
