Mum is excited..

My mum isnt a well lady, diabetes and kidney failure mean she cant travel much and shes always at hospital or doctors. Shes been royally messed around this week ..
The transport people turned up today to take her to an appointment tomorrow they wont take her to an appointment after 3pm but the doctor wont see her until 3,45.
The ward she goes to doesnt exsist according to them and the ward told her to lie and say she was going to the ward next door !

So I thought Id cheer her up .. I know she loves the music of Andre Rieu and his concert is being transmitted live to cinemas round the world in July but mum has no one who will take her and she cant get there alone..

I dont live locally so Ive had a chat with OH and I phoned mum this evening and asked if she would go to the concert if I could arrange someone who would take her.. She hesitantly said yes but who did I know who could take her..

I said 'me' Ive arranged to go and stay for a long weekend take her shopping and to the concert and then maybe a lunch on Sunday afternoon..
She is so excited and says she will be digging out her Andre Rieu Tshirt straight away!

Its not much but Im so glad I could cheer her up.

That is lovely Cass. Your mum will be feeling on top of the world, I hope she has the most wonderful time when you take her.

That's a lovely thought Cass, my Mum would have liked something like that she loved music. I hope you both have a wonderful time, and that she'll remember this for a long time to come

To be honest if mum was well enough I would happily take her to Maastricht, as it is she couldnt even get to Wembley last year..

I will order some orange hats and scarfs for us to dress up in and make it a real party ..
