Chicken

Why is there more actual Chicken Meat on my Indian Takeaways, Tandoori Chicken Wings, than on the whole leg of an Asda/Sainsbury's Pre-Cooked Chicken?

Re: Chicken

Bigger chickens ?

We found buying larger birds we get a larger percentage of meat to bone than buying slightly smaller ones.

Re: Chicken

The most delicious chickens with the most meat I've ever had is from Costco.

Yes I know what you mean Spittie. A good takeaway doesn't skimp on chicken.

I believe they can 'Grow' the chicken breasts now without having to have the actual chicken at all. I gave up eating chickens a while ago, except those free range birds we get when we stay down the country for a few days. There's a lot of Frankenstein type stuff going on with todays chickens.

Re: Chicken

I'm very particular about chicken after having campylobacter a few years ago. Lost three weeks of my life.

Re: Chicken

No need to worry with a Takeaway, the masala stuff like Domestos, kills 99.9% of all germs dead.

Ooh Myra, I had that once too. It's like dying but not quite isn't it. Never felt so ill in me life.
