I am always impressed when a losing member shows magnanimity to the candidate who had defeated him or her. A good example of this is Douglas Alexander congratulating the twenty year old student who has now replaced him as the local MP.

I've met Douglas and he is a nice man, so I'm not surprised. I haven't met Mhairi, but will no doubt see her around the town. She has made Paisley proud. Or as we call ourselves, Paisley Buddies
