Any idea what the purpose of the band on the penguins flipper is for Graham ?

It's what is used to identify them, so I was told, as all penguins look almost identical.

Ok Graham, imused to seeing many other methods of banding birds, never suspected a personal ID tag. Something new ive learned.

I sure enjoyed these photos. I think my zoo trips are all in my past now. While I do enjoy critter where ever I see them I prefer them wild. Really like the penguin, I have not seen them in a zoo or anywhere. Do you have more?

The Snow Leopard pic was taken from about 40 yards away and through a dense Perspex screen, which is why is slightly less defined as the others. I also got incredibly sunburned waiting for it to get into a pose.
