They have bought the bungalow.
The grebes have again returned to the lake. The young pair on the small lake went at it hammer and tongs and are already sitting on eggs.
This pair on the large lake, are well established so are much more relaxed and are still displaying but are content to drift around the lake in each others company, no need to hurry with nests.
Its 10 years since i first started photographing these stunning examples of waterbird. These days my equipment is primitive so its harder to get any photos of worth, but i still enjoy observing their antics.
As they can live between 11 to 15 years it may be the same pair, though impossible to say. They are comfortable in each others company which suggests they have been together a while.
