Fish.

I think it’s tradition to have fish on Good Friday.
Will you be having fish tonight and what?

I’m doing pan fried salmon, jacket potato, carrots & peas with hollandaise sauce.

I didn't think about fish, but you've put me in the notion! . What you're both cooking sounds delicious. Enjoy.

Re: Fish.

No fish here, a salad I can prepare before hand to go with home made goats cheese tarts from the freezer. This means I will be able to get on with the painting and have a meal ready to eat when I finish for the day .

Re: Fish.

Traditional? never heard that one and it's only by coicidence that we're having haddie in breadcrumbs with stir-fried veges tonight. As children, we never had fish on Friday because it was looked upon as a catholic thing. I doubt if anyone cares these days.

Sounds lovely Carol, I'll be round later, but leave the sauce off mine please.

Not just Good Friday, but ANY Friday here. Queues at the chippy for miles on Friday nights.
Mind you, fish & chips isn't the cheap meal it used to be, especially if you have Cod. I believe it was around £4 for a bit of cod last time I was there, and for the price of a portion of chips, you could buy a sackful of spuds!
