Easter.

Trip to my local shopping center today and supermarket surprised me somewhat, not a single bit of the usual bunting, mobiles or general tacky displays that are put up at times of these holidays. Cost cutting, respect for religions other than christianity, its just not like them to milk every bit of profit from these times in the year.

Re: Easter.

I am not religious but I did have an Uncle who was a Minister. He refused to take up arms in WW2-and that took guts and a true calling.

I will take a few moments over the this weekend to remember him.

Re: Easter.

Ours are all out garish displays of easter eggs and chocolate and strange combinations of hot cross buns - some odd ones around this year chocolate and chilli just doesn't sound right for a hot cross bun

Re: Easter.

Yeah the hot cross buns are wafting through the ventilation units and plenty of choccy eggs on display, but compared to halloween and christmas very laid back affair.

Re: Easter.

Strange and rather contradictory here. The shops are full of easter eggs, chocolates, flowers etc.. but nobody really takes much notice of Easter itself. It's just another day here with most shops and businesses open as usual.

I know let's roll away the stone and have a real Easter, and also remember who it's all about

Ooer, No Julie, I don't like the sound of them at all. I wouldn't fancy them at all.
