Oldest Piece Of Clothing?
Do you keep your clothes a long time?What is your oldest Piece?
Mine at the moment is a ( Purple Hooded Dressing Gown ) that my son bought me for Christmas in 2001
Although i threw a lovely pair of ( Black Leather Boots ) away last month that i'd had since the early 90's.

I used to hoard a lot of my clothes until one day i said to myself just let them go to the local charity shop, so i booked a van to call at my house and they took 20 bags away, some of them were new clothes but i'd had enough and i felt a great relief afterwards

Both Mrs.Grumble and me have lost a lot of weight and inches, so we've had to get new clothes a few sizes smaller. Mrs. G has held on to a couple of German dresses that she hopes to alter, but the only thing I have of any age is my (30 years old? ) boiler suit. It's far too big too.

The oldest thing I have that is still worn regularly is a pretty cotton top - bought for me by my Aunty when I was 18 - and that is over 50 years ago. It survives because it still fits and it still looks like new! It washes and irons like a dream and shows no signs of wear at all, so it is trotted out every Summer.I don't hang to things are not worn regularly - don't have the space!
