Fashion catalogues

There was a "Fifty Plus" clothing catalogue included with the Radio Times this week. I assume that this is aimed at people of this age, and apparently the female clothes come in sizes 12 - 32.

So, how come all the female models look about 20 years old and a size 10? Some of the male models do look rather more mature, but none are exactly big. Not that I'm objecting, but it hardly matches the target market.

Re: Fashion catalogues

Know what you mean! The ad on telly has a blonde woman with the figure of a twenty year old and a grin which looks permanent (could be from a bad facelift) None of my friends look like that! Didn't know there were men in it , may have to look!

It proves that women get younger and men get older....

Re: Fashion catalogues

Although the catalogue contains primarily women's attire, the on-line site has both men's and women's sections.

Re: Fashion catalogues

Good point GW. I'm sure there are many attractive older models who would be more suitable.

Re: Fashion catalogues

I get most of my clothes from there. I love them. But I do agree that it's always young, slim models. It's the same all over. Who ever uses middle aged overweight models?
