A poem I made up.
Thought it appropriate for this time of year.
A poem I made up a while ago.
I was at a loss for words as my anger just got worse
When he walked out of the house that cold March day.
Bet the neighbours heard me shout. "Where you going?" I called out.
"Hey you haven't even put your clothes away."
"Ugh teenagers." I said, as I stripped and made his bed.
I remember when he gave me so much joy.
Oh it really makes me sad, since he's grown in to a lad,
and turned into a spoilt and selfish boy.
"Oh you've come home." I replied. "Dinners in the bin." I lied.
"Mum." my son said "There is something you should know".
My heart beat twice as fast. Was he leaving me at last.
I really didn't want the tears to flow.
"Mum I searched the shop for hours. Then I found these lovely flowers."
He smiled and said. "I've used up all my pay."
But just to let you know. I really love you so
I hope you have a Happy Mothers Day.
