Hello from Ayrshire

I was put off joining this site because of it's openness but I doubt it matters any more, Google have the largest database on everyone anyway so it's almost impossible to be private on the internet. I see some familiar faces/avatars/names so it will be nice to see what they are all up to now.

Thanks Eliza, it doesn't bother me now, there is no real hiding place especially when you think you just have to use a loyalty card in the supermarket for them to know what you have for breakfast It takes a wee while for refugees to find a new forum and not all are as friendly as they say they are but there's been some recommendations for this site recently so I am sure they are right.

You are welcome to post or join in with us. I was surprised
when you said we had a lot of openness. Never really thought
of it that way. I personally am a honest person and would
say face to face what I say on here, its just a bigger audience

BowieEyes, I think folks felt more protective about what they writing and the thought of it being open to the big wide world took away their comfort or confidence. However worrying about a forum is small change to what is available on individuals now on the internet. Besides I wouldn't put anything on any site that I couldn't say in public anyway.
