Freedom pass. Worrying!

Just phoned London Councils about transferring my 60+London Oyster Card to the new Freedom Pass, as I am eligible to apply from today, and was told that a letter had been sent out to me 2 weeks ago!!!

This gives you a reference number to apply online and the transfer will be easier than applying in person at a post office. He has my details but said no account had been set up for the FP. We both agree that if the letter falls into wrong hands it could be of concern, but there's not a lot I can do about it.

I have a new form completed, printed and proof ready, but was hoping to avoid having to go to the PO.

Where is my letter?!!!!

Friend of my husband had a similar problem the letter turned up eventually but it had been addressed to a completely different person about a mile away.

The chap I just spoke to reckoned there wasn't much I could do. He was actually at London Councils, who send off the letters. Said someone else had similar problem and eventually had the letter put through his door with other sensitive information. Not sure what this guy meant by that.

I am off to have my diabetic retinopathy eye test this afternoon and there is a big post office just off the bus station (next to my library). I will leave early and join the queues!
