The little animals are jailed

The two yobs from Yorkshire who nearly killed a lad have been incarcerated for a minimum of 5 years, . . that should be just about enough time to brainwash the cr@p that's in their heads.

The "social services" have boobed yet again, . . this need never have happened if they had done their jobs properly.

Re: The little animals are jailed

I have just read that it will cost £500 a day, to keep each of them in a secure facility. I have severe doubts that they could ever be rehabilitated, the damage has been done and I feel they are beyond redemption.

Re: The little animals are jailed

This is just awful, isn't it?
Same old story of a disfunctional family; I suspect the parents will also be found to have had useless upbringings etc etc
The kind of story which leads pinkos liek me asking my OH "after. say, 4 uncared for children in 4 years, couldn't people like this be offered, say, £10000 to both be irreversibly sterilized - all done above board, with legal guidance for them etc etc etc "

But we ought to remember it's very very rare - don't get suckered into be afraid of all youngsters etc etc

Oh, the 'marketeers' out there may be interested to know that Doncaster has an elected Mayor (soon to retire - quelle suprise! ) who appointed a new manager to head the Soc Sevices/Childrens section of the authority. No experience in SS or CS - he came from managing in the frozen food industry. So that's alright then

As I've said on another thread DM, . . we have become a nation of amateurs, . . there are very few professional people left who really care and know what they're doing.

What angers me is that the parents are given anonymity. The boys are locked up, but the parents can continue as before. They should be named and shamed publicly, and charged with child abuse. They are responsible for not only bringing these little horrors into the world, but given the ages of the boys, they are reponsible for their behaviour. Sorry to rant but it makes me so angry

Re: The little animals are jailed

I am going to be completely non-pc here and say that I truly believe that any person who has neglected or ill-treated children should be steralized, so they never, ever have the opportunity to do the same again. This should be automatic, with no opportunity for appeal.

As for the two boys - I don't believe that they will ever be normal, and they should be kept under lock and key for the rest of their lives. Yes, that's cruel, but doctors are already saying that at least one of them is likely to grow into a very evil person who will cause serious injury to someone at some time, so how can you even think of letting them out again!

I agree Dolly this didn't just come from no where but I did not read the story. We have things like that happen here and you just wonder what could have caused it all. Parenting is a big responsibility and some could just care less.

there's the story for non-Brits, sadly we know it all too well
I think Dolly's s child-abuse suggestion for the "parents" is not a bad idea at all

Thanks DM. How dreadful, very often this type of person grows up to be a serial killer from what I have read. It could be a mental illness and the parents cannot be blamed for everything but maybe they saw this personality beginning to show itself and didn't get help for this. Of course they should be in detention for as long as the judge feels and I do hope there is alot of psychological testing given since they will get out at some point. JMO you all have been living with this for 9 months and have alot more insight, I am sure.
