Do you like your Christian or Forenames?

Christened Michael - alias Mick, Mickey, Mikey, Mike. Hate names that can be split. Mother used to tell anyone off who didn't call me Michael!

Do wish you had different name, or you are happy as such?

Yours sincerely
Michael

I prefer Patricia - but people abbreviate it to allsorts
Its up to the individual I guess to correct them if you don't like it shortened - I just took it as it came ....
Fabio is lucky - if I shorten it to FAB !

Re: Do you like your Christian or Forenames?

I've never really loved my name but I don't hate it like I did when I was a teenager have even forgiven Julie Andrews for being famous and attracting my Mum to name me after her.

I think I might have liked to be Julia as that has been what most people seem to say when they make a mistake with my name may have been easier for them.

I prefer Jen or Jenny and they are usually what I'm called but some of my family still say Jennifer - my Mom never liked names being shortened, either, Michael.
