Re: Memory Foam Beds

I am not a bit surprised - have had a memory foam topper and the smell was unbearable - shouldn't be allowed to sell these things

The problem is that as they age their memory goes.

If these health problems have been proven to be caused by memory foam, I agree with Patsy, they should be immediately withdrawn from sale. Trouble is, while there is money to be made, things are often allowed to go on.

I am interested in this sort of thing and have gleened quite a lot of information about cosmetics, moisturers, body creams, sun cream's and a lot of other things we use daily too. And that's before we even start on household cleaners.
The list goes on once you start delving.

Re: Memory Foam Beds

I have just bought a new bed, it's coming next week, but it's a pocket sprung one. I have however, bought a memory foam pillow to try, so I'll see what happens. . .

I do not like memory foam - far too warm and sticky to be comfortable!

Re: Memory Foam Beds

I had a MF bed once, but got rid of it. I couldn't turn the mattress nor have an electric blanket either. (Not that I've got one now anyway).

I thought the MF pillow in the shop felt nice and supportive for my neck, as I have "Spondylitic changes" in my neck according to x-rays. Anyway. I'll give it a go for a while, and see how I get on, it's not the end of the world if I end up chucking it is it.

A mattress is not so bad - as it is well covered on the top with other materials - or should be ......
