Oh what it is ...
... to be known so well by ones neighbours!!I have just taken some stuff out to the recycling boxes and my next door neighbour was shivering under her car port - having a cigarette.
She asked me what I was cooking - I told her I had just cooked a gammon and was now making soup - then I asked how she knew I was cooking - her answer made me laugh!
Apparently she can tell what I am doing by what I am singing!!
Gardening = folk songs or (oddly) sea shanties
Ironing = opera,
General housework = Country and Western or Rock'n'Roll.
Cooking = Irish songs
I have to own up to always singing about the place - but had not realised that the songs were task related or that anyone paid so much attention!!
