Autograph

Have you every asked a "famous" person for their autograph? Do you still have it and would never part with it?

Don't think I have because I've never had the chance!

Edit: I should have elaborated. From many years ago?

Re: Autograph

I never really saw the point of autographs, although I do have a book signed by Janet Baker. Someone gave it to me, though.

Re: Autograph

I had Morecombe and Wise, Bruce Forsyth, Edmund Hockridge and several more, my cousin worked at the Bristol Hippodrome & got tickets etc, I also got the cast of Softly Softly when they filmed in our village, stupidly I gave the book away before I went to S. Africa.

Re: Autograph

Never collected autographs but I have two signed books:

"Hitler My Part in his Downfall" signed by Spike Milligan at a book fair in Bloomsbury and a copy of "Wonders Never Cease - Edinburgh Zoo into the 21st Century" signed by the author (a cousin of mine)

Re: Autograph

I had the autograph of Billy Fury, not that I met him, but I sent away for it when I was a teenager. I sold it recently for around £40.

Re: Autograph

Twiz, you could've made a few pounds from those!

Bird, not bad getting £40 for a signature. Well done

Re: Autograph

The great Blackpool cup final with the whole team on including Stanley Matthews etc.
Diana Dors, Jimmy Jewel and Ben Warris, Semprini, Charlie Carroli and his partner Beverly sisters and many more.
Figured they might be worth something if the kids get rid of them when I am gone.
