Clocks

Ceramic clock in my room, doesn't run

Traditional cuckoo clock, cuckoos on the quarter hour as well as the hour...very accurate too

Very unusual clock as it uses barametric pressure for power...very accurate also.

Traditional mantle clock and keeps time very well

Grandfather clock and runs well, gets a weekly wind up by pulling the chain

Grandmother clock, needs weekly key (2 of them) to wind up

Son collects clocks, chiming ones especially and cleans and fixes them. Buys them from estate auctions.
Got some, add to this thread to share..

Re: Clocks

Patsy, they are all Rob's (son). There are about 25 more but not easy for me to get in place to take photos of...I must use a wheelchair or at least the walker...small space in his office room but intend to try one day.

I just love clocks always have from a child - I love to hear the tick tock in an otherwise silent room, very calming and of course the varieties of clocks - just lovely

Re: Clocks

I love clocks too, don't mean to collect them but, every time I see one cheap in a charity shop I think, "I'll buy it for the cogs" but usually keep them, my latest one has a second hand that only gets from 6 to twenty to and then falls back down again, cute, like it's too tired to go any further. It has monkeys on it!https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.n...4d2ead60fa8666

Re: Clocks

Bit like the man who was asked where cuckoos make their nests. He replied in a cuckoo clock
