Rant against Thames Water.

I am fuming! I am very careful with water usage, and in fact use much less than other house holds.

For a few years my monthly charge (on a meter) has been £7, before that, £14. Now, they want £23 a month from January! Effectively wiping out my occupational pension increase.

Conveniently, offices are closed till the 27th. Grrrrrr.

If the water is metered how can they set the charges? Or is this expected usage ie estimated?

Re: Rant against Thames Water.

Just checked my cash books for the last 3 years.
2012 £12 pm
2013 £14 pm
2014 £7 pm

My neighbour says she now pays £12 pm, and she has many baths and showers. As I said, my usage is very low as I economise.

You're right Patsy. Be on the phone first thing on the 27th.

Yes cranberry, even after a reading on the 4th December! It looks like £72 was left owing, which they've added to an estimated usage cost of £206 next year. If they took a reading in June and found a deficit, why didn't they put it up then?

I need to find previous bills...

I wouldn't mind but it's trebled...not doubled.
