soup time

Its that time of year when a bowl of hot soup goes down a treat. I prefer my own homemade, but haven't got round to making it. Yesterday I had a tin of carrot and butterbean and it was lovely.

What's your favourite, apart from our own of course?

Re: soup time

Never seen the point of soup, neither a drink or a meal.

Having said that whenever I am in Malaysia I make a point of having Chee Cheong Fun. The Chinese do know how to make soup.

Re: soup time

I had chicken soup yesterday - lovely. My favourites are Leek and Potato or just plain old Mushroom soup. Heinz or M&S will do for me.

Although i make my own, Chicken or Tomato in tins fits the bill for a cheap and quick fix.

Re: soup time

I don't ever buy soup it is so quickly made and I don't really have a favourite.
I made a load of vegetable soup yesterday for the freezer to go with home made bread.

Re: soup time

Parsnip and carrot goes down well here, or I make a spring vegetable that is very nice and light. Rarely make stilton and broccoli as it's rather fattening but very tasty.

Cullen Skink is a favourite of mines. I make a mean lentil and potato soup. Great for dunking bread
