Stephen Hawking reckons Artificial Intelligence could spell the end of the Human Race, lets hope it isn't in our lifetime.

It couldn't be that far off, as it is most of us are slaves to machines of one type or another, soon as they learn to think for themselves it's curtains for the lot of us.

I think we need to programme out the ability for these devices to plug themselves into the recharge socket.

Good heavens Spitty, I wondered what you were on about for a minute. In the farming and animal world, AI means "Artificial Insemination", which certainly wouldn't see the end of the human race!!

Well,WITHOUT the existence of 'artificial intelligence',Mr Hawking wouldn't be communicating with anyone....so just maybe he should re-think that premise.
However...the integrity of the humans setting the parameters for that artificial intelligence...well,that's a whole different bag of rats...
