Re: Cute pigs

Welcome Julie. They actually look bigger on the photograph than they were. The big one was about the size of my Shitzu and the baby was really tiny, very small Chihuahua size, it certainly wouldnīt have filled a bacon sandwich They really were adorable and getting a lot of attention from people walking by.

They are lovely, Loretta ...

Do many people take pigs for walks in Spain?

Re: Cute pigs

I have seen only a couple of little pigs being taken out for an "airing" here Mags, itīs not really the norm, unless of course itīs going to be a new trend.

Re: Cute pigs

Pet pigs became a trend a while ago. Only problem the micro breeds became huge with time and not so easy to walk a 20 stone piggy. Not even sure we are allowed to do that here with movement orders and visas etc needed to move them from place to place.

Re: Cute pigs

I wonder what breed they are? The markings look like the Belgian 'Pietrain' pig.

Pigs are not sweet, cute or anything else. They are generally farm animals and I think it is ridiculous to keep them as fashionable pets. They may look "cute" as piglets, but I'm still suffering from wrestling with some 100kg. pigs last week after they were reluctant to get into the trailer !!
