A Day to Celebrate?

If we were to have a new public holiday or just a new celebration day like Valentines Day, April Fool's Day etc. what would you choose to commemorate?
Jem made me think of "National Quibble Day" on another thread!

Re: A Day to Celebrate?

If I was in power, I would give everyone a day off for my birthday.

National adoption day, a day to highlight the children who need parents and to celebrate those who have found them.

National maritime day to celebrate Britain's seafaring heritage and raise money for the RNLI. The USA already has one, why not the UK??

The problem is that most our public holidays are in the first half of the year, between Queen's Birthday and Christmas is only Labour Day in October. We need another day.

Re: A Day to Celebrate?

Well Twiz you can have your own personal 'National Beards Day' and me my 'National Elbow Day'

They have a thanksgiving day already so what about a Worldwide 'Forgiving Day' where you forgive anyone who has wronged you, even if it's just for the day, then you can put the boxing gloves back on when it's over.
