I have seen swans flying over here, what an amazing sight . I think they may have been on rout to the wild fowl trust grounds at Slimbridge which isn't far from here

Lucky you Meg, could well be Whooper and Bewick swans which migrate from the continent to spend winter in our warmer climes. Still see Whoopers up here but Bewicks have become harder to find.
