A bit of a mystery.

Did anyone else see that in the paper this weekend, about an aircraft pilot seeing what he thought was a skydiver at 3,500 feet up? He and his co-pilot said there was no "sail" ( I know that's not the right word, but I can't remember what it's called), no parachute, no visible equipment with the guy whatsoever. When the occurrence was reported, there was absolutely nothing on the radar and no sign of him anywhere.
Also, the local hang gliding club said no one could have possibly been up there in those weather conditions either.
How weird is that . . .

Re: A bit of a mystery.

Could have been a trick of the light,a meteorological device, an odd shaped lantern or balloon ( my grandchildren have had some huge ones including Disney characters and Thomas the tank engine ) or some other natural phenomena.

Stories like this are used to help boost the sales of newspapers .

Yes, that's right Eliza, Macclesfield, I remember now. Funny how BOTH pilots saw the same thing isn't it.
