Timekeeping

Are you a stickler for always being on time. Or do you end up running about at the last minute and are always late. They say that if you are a "late" person, then you obviously think your time is more important than theirs. What are you?

Re: Timekeeping

I am always early ! My husband is habitually late, so when we go out together there is a bit of a battle as to what time we should leave. We have over the years decided easiest to go when I want but left to his own devices he would be late to his own funeral.

I'm always early, that's why I spend hours in airports when we go on holiday.

Re: Timekeeping

We are always early rather than late, I think it terribly rude not to be on time if you have made prior arrangements with someone.

I find myself in a minority now Alice as I'm one of the very few that still believes it's polite to by punctual, especially where I work!
I'd say 30% of the staff arrive for their shift late, extend their breaks substantially and leave anything up to 20 minutes early.
The smokers still spend an average of 15 minutes per fag, up to 5 times per shift by my reckoning, smoking and chatting outside and, now that mobile 'phones have been banned indoors, more staff are going outside during working hours to make those all-important calls; you hear them asking questions like "What ya doing now?" or "Awful weather here - how about you?"

We even have a contractor in one day per week and his hours are 08:30 until 11:00 but he never get here before 08:50.

My hours are 08:00 until 15:30 4 days per week and I'm usually in by 7:45 and sometimes have to work past my time as even my manager sneaks off early! stevmk2

I'm always early, the exception sometimes being when I have to leave the doglets at home. They seem to have a sixth sense that they're being left home and are at their most awkward!

Yep, me too, can't abide being late. My daughter on the other hand is always fashionably late.

Re: Timekeeping

I'm a good timekeeper - usually arrive about two minutes before the given time.
I hate waiting for people and have been known not to wait for them if it's longer than 10 minutes.
