Welcome 2010!
Good morning everyone, we've made it ..... 2010!!!
The start of another year and the weather is beautiful here ........ wall to wall sunshine and not a cloud in the sky!
I have the family coming today so it's a busy cooking day but I love it!
Start as you mean to go on and good luck to those who have made New Year resolutions!

Well, here we go, a brand new year ahead; who knows what it will bring. Let's hope it's happier and healthier than the last one. Watched the Times Square celebration; slept in this morning. I've transferred all birthdays/anniversaries to my new calendar and written "10" on a dozen checks so I won't accidentally use the old date from force of habit. It's cloudy here and still unseasonable, 35 F (forgot to check the Celsius
) No plans for the day, will have ham and black eyed peas, the traditional meal, at dinner.Hope it's a good day for all,

No parties these days. We saw the New Year in watching Jools Holland and with a sip of whisky at midnight. I went for an off-road bike ride with my brother today. The weather was cold but sunny. We rode 18 miles. Lots of people were out riding bikes. I think some of the children got them as Christmas presents. Many were out walking their dogs.We spoke to a few people while we were out (as we usually do). Today, we all wished each other a Happy New Year. A good day all in all.
