Rolling Eyes

Everyone knows what it means when someone rolls his/her eyes. But....how did it come about exactly? Who thought in the beginning that that action should signify what it does

No idea. Roll up=looking to heaven to save me from this person.

Roll down = Asking the devil to pop up and save my from this person.

Eye movements can say a lot but do not confuse with NLP(neuro-linguistic programming) been there and some is sound most is rubbish. Trust me I`m a doctor-well a Phd in Psychology any way.
