Quiet night in

A quiet night in *sigh*. Don't you just love it?

By that, I mean a night when you don't actually have to do anything, other than making dinner and sitting on your behookie and watching tv or doing absolutely nothing

I find that when I come home from work there's always housework to be done. Last night I vacuumed the whole place, washed floors, put a washing on. If it's not that then it's tidying other things up. I'm not houseproud for one minute, but the thought of just sitting, after dinner, doing absolutely nothing, is bliss

Maybe it's because I'm always busy at weekends, but who wants to spend weekends doing housework?

Think I'll even have a nice bubble bath tonight . There just never seems enough hours in the day, or is it just me?

Thank you Carol. I'm tickled pink at the thought of nothing to do

Re: Quiet night in

I'm fed up of quiet nights in, it's all we seem to have lately!! Being in the house all day, in this weather, drives me to distraction - have to take up a new hobby.... but which one? Hmmm

I miss my gardening when the weather turns.

Cranberry I can actually understand how you feel. Okay, as i've said, it's good having one quiet night, meaning no chores, just chilling, but it could get boring. One night last week my partner and I went to a National Historical Society talk in the museum. It was about wildlife caught on camera, which was very interesting. A wee mixture of a night in and a night like that makes a good combination I'd check out your local area and what's on.

Yes I really do love it having spent the last 15 years of my working life on duty many evenings and nights
Even thought I retired some years ago I still feel a little thill of delight knowing my time is all my own to do with as I please

I might have a little look and see if there's anything suitable - can't imagine another 6 months of this!

Re: Quiet night in

There's a cure if you're bored with quiet nights.
Get a parrot! And say goodbye to quiet nights forever!

I actually enjoy the quiet. But I've got plenty to do inside, so that's probably a big help!

Oh Alice76 I am so jealous, like you when I get in from work there is always something to do.

Whether it is putting a wash on or putting the ironing away or taking the washing that was airing in the cupboard and put them away.

A bubble bath oh that sounds bliss.
