the "big" light

I've been brought up calling it the "big" light, but it's actually the ceiling light

I never put it on unless I'm quickly looking for something. Much prefer cozy lamps placed here and there.

What do you prefer?

During the day - big light, I grew up in darkness and can't abide it - in the evening a lamp .........

I never use the main lights either in fact I only have a small lamp on in the sitting room and an energy saving bulb on the landing most of the time .

You can get so many beautiful lamps. Every shape and colour. People seem to be into lamps and candles these days

We have 3 wall lights but also a big light in the ceiling. Always just use the wall lights though.

I love cozy lamps in the lounge and in the bedroom. I did buy nice lampshades for the big lights, so they look nice.

Big light, always! Need to see what I'm doing, lol.

I have a floor lamp, which usually lives behind the telly but I've discovered its best use is for illuminating my large lounge cupboard, specifically towards the boiler at the back. Have left it out ready for the plumber tomorrow.

Good to see you're making good use of it, always best to shed light on the subject

Since reaching my great age I now try my best to "Stay away from the light"!
