Merry Christmas
It's the day before Christmas here in Portland, Oregon USA. The temperature is 29 degrees F and there's a bit of fog outside. They have something called freezing fog here that covers everything, making it look like a light snowfall. It's quite beautiful as every blade of grass and every pine needle is coated. Very Christmasy.
I will be going to work this morning for my 12 hour shift at Intel Corp. I never cease to thank God for taking care of me by providing for my needs. I'm blessed that I have a warm place to live, plenty to eat and all my medical needs are met. There's little stress in my life as I continue to prepare for retirement.
I'm heading with a friend tomorrow to his parents home for the holiday. I've been doing that for the previous three years since moving to the Pacific Northwest. So, I won't be alone for Christmas. My family is 3,000 miles away in South Carolina but still remain in my heart.
I'd like to take the time to wish you all a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year. Keep Christ in Christmas!
