A change is as good as a rest.

I have been with the same hairdresser for years.
I think she started to take my custom for granted leaving me to wait for ages when I arrive for an appointment and 'tutting' if I request anything which differed from the norm.

So I went elsewhere this week and not only am I delighted with the results but I paid half price as a new customer plus another 10% for being over 60 .

That's a bit of luck Meg - you do live in a good area it seems.
Where I live, you just cant find a good hairdresser - not that I need one now

Good for you Meg , i worked at a hairdressers shampooing,and the owner was as nice as pie to the customers to their face but when they had gone out that door ,they were just " Punters" as she put it .

I've had the same treatment, told her I could have earned money the length of time I was once in....now I may wait a few minutes. I think they think if you are retired your time is their time.

I waited 35 mins once while she chatted to her sister (who also works there ) in the back room I was livid but didn't want to complain .

I sleep with my barber so I always get a good deal, and the really great thing is that she never talks about football whilst she's doing it.....

My hairdresser is male, I have been going to him for years. His partner is male also and it's a laugh a minute whilst I am there. He changes my hairstyle regularly. I wouldn't change my hairdresser I have no need.

You were right to go elsewhere, Meg. I wouldn't tolerate being treated like that. Your money is good anywhere.
