And the rest of the story is.....
the tractor was stolen from a farm about 40 miles away. When I emailed the photos to my son, who is township clerk, he reported it to the police...seems lots of people drove past it but didn't report it. Probably thinking it had already been called in...or that it belonged to a neighboring farm, one does own the same model but this was not theirs.
poor tractor looks a bit lost. 
it looked quite a desolate little tractor..|
