Would you, or have you, forgiven a partner for having an affair or a one night stand with someone?

I knew my husband was cheating...he stopped it...I could never have trusted him again..

Why would you trust him again? That's my opinion.

It will be interesting who does confess to infidelity, if anyone.

I don't know, it has never arisen, thankfully.

I like to think I could forgive but I have never been tested, wouldn't occur to me to be unfaithful. So neither of us have/would cheat.

I'm such a loyal person and felt utterly betrayed, so couldn't ever trust again, not that I got the chance. I just don't think if someone really loved you then they'd do that to you.

I do know people who have forgiven and got back together again. Would it ever be the same? I doubt it.

No - I could not live with betrayal. His bags were packed and the locks changed as soon as I found out! No amount of pleading and apologizing had any affect on my decision. He has done it twice more since - so I was right.

I'm a very honest person and couldn't forget if my spouse lied to me and cheated.

Mine got his walking papers one week after I found out.

I left mine after being told he was cheating, he'd told so many lies and even though I loved him the relationship died the day I found out.

He's not happy now and I couldn't care less, it was his loss, not mine
