Pregnancy At 60

If you could be pregnant, or your partner, at 60 years old would you want to start all over again?

I love my three sons with all my heart, but wouldn't have the strength now to have a young baby. It's granny time for me now - someday............

No thank you having the twins and Hannah all close in age and under 5 has made me realise why 60 something are not designed to have babies

I would say no, starting again with a child now is hard enough, a baby at 60 would be too much. Having said that if one needed a home I can't see either of us turning it away, family comes first we just put our own lives on hold each time it happens.

Re: Pregnancy At 60

A lovely friend at work hasn't been able to have any children. I'm sure in a case like that then no age would be out of the question possibly. I feel for people who can't have children. It's an ill divided world. Some people have kids at the drop of a hat and don't care for them, and others can't have any. So i could understand even at 60 still wanting to try.

I agree with all that has been posted, but I think that being over 60 brings its own problems. Older parents can sometimes have difficulty in relating to the current 'youth culture' and may also tire far more easily than their younger counterparts.

Also, any child of an older parent may lose the given stability and love earlier than the norm..........

As for being pregnant at 60 - well, nature sussed that out as a bad idea hey!

Oh no, not a good idea at 60!!! I look after a toddler 1 day a week and that is tiring!! Nature really does know best on this occasion, I believe.

I wouldn't go near it with a barge pole. YOU might be free from testosterone and hormone imbalances at 60 but bloody teenagers ain't now are they. Early grave for whoever considers it I reckon.

That can happen at any age as we have just found out.
