Solo dining on the rise

More and more people now are living alone, seems the table for one in resturants is rising, would you go into a resturant all and dine by yourself?

Most assuredly () if I have to, but then I don't always have to.

Yes, I would if I had to - I love dining out.

Not something I would do but not because I was solo I just don't eat out like that, prefer to make my own food.

Oh absolutely. In fact I eat alone in the dining room at work every single day. I sometimes catch up on reading.. OR I just enjoy my meal lost in my own very pleasant thoughts.. I enjoy it.

It's not something I would be comfortable doing.

Re: Solo dining on the rise

I very rarely go out for meals as I'd rather cook them myself and have them in the comfort of my own home. Not to mention the cost of eating out!

However, when I am on holiday I am often dining at a table for one. Doesn't bother me at all, and I sometimes indulge in a bit of entertaining people-watching...

When I was on my own I booked myself into a couple of hotels on The West Highland Way. The first time going to dinner was a bit nerve wracking, but after that OK. It was couples in the dining room and me . I could easily do it now.

Well no I wouldn't just because I don't spend money in restaurants but if I had to, I would. I'm shy so I would feel like all eyes are on me, lol, but then act non chalant & see I was wrong then breathe a sigh of relief

I would make sure I had a newspaper or book to read or even my phone but then I'd probably not be able to concentrate much, thinking eyes were on me again, sigh.
