You know those envelopes that arrive for someone, that has a window, giving a brief glimpse of the contents?

The F tenant above has received a communique from the UKBA Croydon (or whatever they're called) and in large caps on the letter, through the window, can be seen 'Immigration Act 1971 - Notice To...'

Notice to what??!! Is she an over stayer, to be removed? Her husband recently had several large envelopes from solicitors (look, it said so on the outside, right?) so do I get my hopes up that they may be deported? They have a baby, but I don't know his status, and there is a large family here.

Yes, I have too much time on my hands but any suspicion that we might get rid of them gets me excited!

I can understand your excitement Jazzi to finally get rid of someone who is causing you grief.

But don't forget that what you read on the outside of envelopes usually does not mean a lot. I will keep my fingers crossed never the less.

Re: Post

Most missives from these sources start by saying notice to, when my boys were starting school we had a flurry of such letters, none of them meant much they were just telling us what status their appeals were at. Took 6 years for their immigration status to be finalised and they were born to my sister an English woman so there was never any real question they would be refused permission to stay.
