If you had to quit any vice you had for 48 hours, could you?

yes AC , i gave up smoking 20/30 a day after 30 odd years ,i dont have any now..That needed a strong will power ..

48 hours is easy, I'd just have more chocolate when it was over!

Until I get "in the zone" my willpower is awful. It's a psychological thing for me.

When my ex husband left me 4 years ago I lost three and a half stone. Yes, some of it was down to stress, but I wanted to change my image. Needless to say most of the weight's gone back on and I'm struggling to get the willpower to lose it again.

I think I have a little, managing to give up sugar and low carbing for 18 months losing 5 stones has sort of proved that I think.

I gave up smoking five years ago. I didn't use any nicotine aids - no gum - no patches. I just made my mind up & did it!
My only vice now is strong coffee. I would find that very hard to give up - especially that first cup in the morning but I could do it if I had to!

Hey ST, sure why not
We're close. We kept the TV but quit satellite service 3 years ago. Don't miss television one bit & am very happy not knowing or caring what sponsors are selling these days
