A good comfortable sharp small knife
Diito large
Chopping boards (various)
Y style veg peeler
Silicon end tongs
Silicon oven glove
Cast iron skillet (large - doubles as a griddle)
Gas hob - can't cook as I want on electric
Small electric chopper/grinder
Senseo coffee maker
(bet I've missed out something vital - it's still early )

Re: What are your kitchen essentials? (kitchenware)

None of the oversold electrical gadgets with the exception of a whisk ..

Good quality small knife,
Good quality large knife,
Chopping board,
Wooden spatulas,
My large SKK pan,
Electric whisk,
Metal sieve (essential for soup),
Grater,
Enamel coffee pot (with filter holder on top),
Large Pyrex mixing bowl.

I can make just about anything if I have to above essentials though would really need a couple of saucepans, baking trays and my very old earthenware casserole dishes too
