Do You Know Proper Self Defence?

Would you know how to skillfully protect yourself or would you have to fight tooth and claw & hope for the best?

Me, it would be the latter

Re: Do You Know Proper Self Defence?

Not trained but I would go for the eyes/knee in the groin .

My friend who lived on her own on the coast with small children during the war was terrified of an invasion.

In her hall she kept a pepper pot/a sheet/a rope and a sword stick.
If a german came to the door she was going to throw pepper in his eyes/the sheet over his head/the rope around him then run him through with the sword stick .
Heaven know how she would have coped if more than one came to the door at once

Re: Do You Know Proper Self Defence?

Yes ive trained in a few disciplines, but best advice is avoid or get away rather than confront. A friend in the 70`s was confronted by four thugs set about mugging him. He fought back and all five ended up in hospital, he was charged by the police as he was a Karate instructor, luckily common sense prevailed, perhaps its different in other countries, over here we seem to be fair game for villains,

I'm not sure how I would react but I think it would involve my knee, elbow and fist

Or if she got the order mixed up!
Poor woman. Hope she never had to use them.
