Camel Burgers Anyone?
Lakemba in the south western suburbs of Sydney is a hive of activity after dusk during Ramadan. The streets are alive with stalls selling all sorts of middle eastern delicacies. I might go up there one evening to try a camel burger - sounds fantastic.
The festival has grown and grown to the point where the council had to restrict the number of BBQs on the street this year for safety reasons.

One of the great things about Ramadan is that even my local supermarkets stocks plenty of dates during the festival and I love dates.
When I have been in Malaysia during Ramadan as the sun dips below the horizon the restaurants rush out glasses of water to their thirsty patrons. For foreigners, the Chinese or Indians it is best to get there very early or very late, though personally I feel a bit guilty eating while they are waiting for sundown.
